This report was submitted in response to a consultation request by the Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD), which sought views on the use of landscape design, plants and trees to beautify village areas in the Islands District of Hong Kong. Along with presenting this report Living Lamma hosted the CEDD on a visit to the sites on Lamma mentioned in the report
The ideas were generally well received by the CEDD and funding was available to improve or beautify village areas, however for these suggestions to be implemented they need to be supported by each island’s local district council.
